More than one-third of American workers are now considering relocation to a new town or city because of COVID-19, according to a new nationwide survey by ecommerce payment startup Fast.
Additionally, 62% of workers claim they would relocate for jobs with increased pay, according to a recent survey by global human resource firm Robert Half.
It’s All In The Numbers
According to the survey, 76% of professionals between ages 18 and 34 admitted they are likely to relocate. Compare that to 62% of professionals between ages 35 and 54, and 40% of professionals aged 55 and older. Overall, 67% of male employees would move, which contrasts with 59% of female employees.
Geographically speaking, the metropolises of Minneapolis, Boston, Philadelphia, and Detroit hold the fewest employees who would consider moving out of town for a better job. On the other hand, sprawling areas like Miami, Houston, Los Angeles, and Dallas have been found to include the most companies with increased relocation packages in recent years.
Another survey of senior managers uncovered that 34% of companies have grown their relocation package offerings.
The Housing Hurdle
COVID-19 is transforming the way we live and work, providing a unique opportunity for companies looking to recruit top executive talent. In any relocation, housing is the biggest hurdle—particularly in the San Francisco Bay Area. Companies that pair a potential employee with a highly capable top agent will position themselves ahead of the pack.
For twenty years, Julie has built a team structured to help hundreds of satisfied clients find their new homes in the Bay Area. Once your company refers your short-listed job candidates to our firm, Julie’s team will receive them with a world-class array of relocating services to make their transition smooth and hassle-free. Â
Professional Expertise
Our tailored, personalized approach begins by gaining an in-depth understanding of each candidate’s desired lifestyle, unique preferences, ideal neighborhood, schools, hobbies, etc. Then we match those choices against select properties.
Our extensive presence in the Bay Area affords us a native insight into all the unique neighborhoods and communities of this extraordinary place, making it easy for us to match their qualities to each candidate’s individual desires. Embedded as we have been here for twenty years, Julie and her team have a keen sense of what it’s like to live in each particular locale—a priceless experience, particularly for outsiders.
An Unparalleled Skillset
In addition to our reputation and prowess, we arm ourselves with technology and research to educate your potential future employees about each neighborhood’s particular characteristics. Then, once we’ve matched them with their choice neighborhood and helped them narrow down their list of desired properties, our team members can even organize virtual smartphone tours guided by their particular areas of focus until we find the right fit.
We don’t stop there. To ensure their selected property is priced competitively, Julie will attain and present them with a comparative market analysis of the home’s value based on similar, recently sold homes in the same neighborhood. In addition, all bidding, negotiation, and closing on your dream home may even be handled remotely for your employee’s convenience. This is accompanied with regular status updates from our team and smooth processing of all necessary documentation.
An Attractive Option For New Talent
Recruiting top talent has entered a new era. Many recent studies suggest that companies who offer relocation benefits to job candidates are more likely to secure them—and in a heavily competitive metropolis like the Bay Area, the more attractive these benefits look, the more likely the talent will choose them.
Thanks to our years of experience in finding housing for employees of various industries, Julie and the rest of our team are positioned to satisfy your new employees’ housing concerns without you ever having to lift a finger.
